Customers
Everyone you sell to or repair for, and what they owe you.
What it does
- Records can be personal or business — a business trades under its business name with a VAT or GST number, and the contact person stays alongside.
- Each row shows the outstanding balance, a credit-utilisation colour, and counts of that customer’s repairs and sales.
- Customer report — repairs, sales, rent orders and payments in one place, with payment history you can correct.
- Statement — a running ledger with opening and closing balances, exportable and shareable as a permanent public link the customer can open without an account.
- Also: credit limits, opening balances, map location, ID-proof capture, and collecting payment against the whole balance rather than one invoice.
- Wallet — money you are holding for the customer, shown apart from what they owe. Overpayments land there automatically, and it can be spent as a payment method on any future bill.
Step-by-step
- Add a customer — Create the record you will bill against.
- Edit a customer — Keep the record current.
- Delete a customer — Remove a record you no longer need.
- Collect from a customer — Take money against everything they owe, and decide which documents it settles.
- Use a customer’s wallet — Money you are holding on the customer’s behalf, kept apart from what they owe.
- What the customer sees on a statement — The page a customer opens from the link you send — their whole account, without a login.
- Send a statement as a PDF — Some customers want the document, not a link.
- Record what a customer already owed — Start a customer with the debt they were carrying before Quikpair.
- Find a customer — Get to the right record, or pull out a group of them.
- Find customers near the shop — See which customers are close by, for a delivery run or a collection.
- Pin a customer on the map — Save where they are, so deliveries and lane routes know where to go.
- Open a customer report — Everything about one customer on a single page — what they owe, and everything you have done for them.
- Start a job from a customer row — Skip the customer picker — start the document from the customer instead.
- Check a customer’s ID verification — See which ID you took, and whether anyone confirmed it.
- Filter a customer statement — Cut the ledger down to a period, or to one kind of transaction.
- Export a statement — Take the ledger away as a file.
- Send a customer statement — Show a customer exactly what they owe and why.
Questions about customers
Can I stop a customer going over their credit limit?
Credit limits are recorded per customer and the list shows utilisation as a colour, with a warning at the point of sale.
Can a customer see their own account?
Yes. Share their statement link — it is permanent, needs no login, and is excluded from search engines.
