Repair shop POS software for fast counter billing

By Thamjeed Lal, Founder · Published by ATSCOM Technology Experts LLP · Updated

Quikpair’s repair shop POS software rings up a sale at the counter and takes the money before the customer leaves. You scan or tap products into the cart, adjust each line, complete the sale, collect payment and print or share a GST-ready invoice, all from one screen. The same billing covers accessories, parts and services.

Fast counter billing with barcode scanning

New sale opens the POS screen. Add products by tapping them in the grid, searching by name or SKU, or tapping Scan Barcode. The scanner stays open, so a basket goes in one item after another, and scanning the same product twice raises the quantity instead of adding a second line. A hardware barcode gun works too.

Quantity, unit price, discount and tax are editable on each line, and the cart takes an order-level discount as a percentage or a fixed amount. A serialised product asks which units are going out, so a warranty claim can be traced to one device.

Repair shop billing software that collects payment

Complete Sale opens the payment collector straight away. Take cash, card, UPI, bank transfer or cheque into the payment account it belongs in, in full or in part; a part-paid invoice keeps showing what is still due. Current dues shows what the customer already owes, and a sale past their credit limit shows Credit limit exceeded as a warning.

Then print a Thermal receipt (80mm) for the counter or an Invoice (A4), with your company header, footer and terms, or share it by WhatsApp or SMS. The shared link opens the invoice with Print Invoice and Download PDF, needs no login and does not expire.

GST-ready invoices

Quikpair prints GST-compliant invoices with tax shown per line. Tax is set per product, inclusive or exclusive, and a line marked incl works back to the net figure rather than adding tax on top. Business customers carry their GST or VAT number. The detail of GST invoice formats and GST reports is on the GST billing software page for India.

Drafts, quotations and mobile shop billing

Save Draft parks a cart and clears the counter for the next customer; Drafts brings it back with the customer and lines intact. A draft holds no stock and takes no money. Printed from the Sales list, a draft becomes a quotation, so a customer can have a price before committing.

Quikpair’s POS runs on a phone as well as a desktop, and a sale can carry a lane for van sales, a commission agent and its own terms and conditions.

Returns that keep the audit trail

Only drafts can be edited or deleted. A sent invoice is corrected with a sale return: choose the items, quantities and serial units coming back, give a reason, and the return moves Pending, then Approved or Rejected, then Refunded. Stock goes back only when the return is approved, and approving can be limited by permission.

Frequently asked questions

Can I scan barcodes to sell in Quikpair?

Yes. Tap Scan Barcode on the sale and point the camera at the product, or use a hardware barcode gun. The scan sheet stays open, so each scan drops straight into the cart.

Does Quikpair print GST invoices?

Yes. Quikpair prints GST-compliant invoices on A4 or an 80mm thermal printer, with your header, footer and terms and tax shown per line. See the GST billing software page for the India-specific detail.

Can I change an invoice after it is issued?

No. Only drafts can be edited or deleted. A sent invoice is corrected with a sale return, which keeps the audit trail and the stock figures right.

How do I create a sale in Quikpair?

Open Sales and tap New, select a customer or Walk-in Customer, add products, adjust lines if needed, and tap Complete Sale. The payment collector then opens. The full steps are in the Create a sale guide under Sales & invoices.

Can I give a customer a quotation first?

Yes. Build the sale and tap Save Draft, then tap Print Quotation on its row in the Draft tab. Nothing is committed until you open the draft and complete the sale.
