Three problems in a laptop repair shop
Laptops come in with bags, chargers and mice, and at collection the customer is sure they left a charger. A board-level fault waits days for a part, and the job drops out of sight. And a customer who drops off three office machines expects one bill, not three.
Quikpair records Included Items and Excluded / Missing Items on the job card at the counter, has a Waiting Parts status with an aging analysis in the Repair by Status report, and groups several repairs from one customer into a batch that can be paid for in one go.
How a laptop or PC repair flows through Quikpair
Open Repairs, tap New and choose the customer. Enter the Brand, Item and Issues; a brand or model not in your lists yet is added as new when you type it. Add the Serial Number, and scan it with Scan QR/Barcode if the label has a barcode.
Open Additional Information to record what came in (charger, bag), what did not, and Risks the customer should accept, such as data loss. The Device Password / Lock field holds the login PIN or password so the technician can sign in. Add photos, the Estimated Cost, a warranty if one applies, the technician under Assign To and an Expected Completion Date.
If the customer brought more than one machine, add it with the + tab on the same job card; each device keeps its own issues, photos and costs. Update the status as work moves from In Progress to Waiting Parts to Ready for Pickup, then mark it Delivered, set the final Service Cost and collect payment.
Parts and stock for PC repair software
Parts such as SSDs, RAM, batteries and screens are added to the job under Parts, from stock or typed in, with quantity, cost and tax. The repair's money panel keeps the Estimated total, the Service total and the Parts Cost apart, so the gap between what you quoted and what you billed is visible.
The inventory module holds SKUs, barcodes, low-stock alert levels and serialised stock. Serial numbers are captured when stock is received and chosen when it is sold, so a warranty claim on a drive or a battery traces back to one unit.
Business customers, batches and credit
Customer records can be personal or business; a business record carries its business name and GST number. Several repairs from one customer can be grouped into a batch, printed as one document and settled with a single payment.
Customers can have credit limits, and each has a statement that can be shared as a permanent link they open without an account.

Can computer repair shop software track what accessories came with a laptop?
Yes. Quikpair's job card has Included Items and Excluded / Missing Items fields under Additional Information. Fill them in at the counter, and there is a written record of the charger, bag or other items at collection.
Can one job card cover several laptops from the same customer?

How do I keep track of repairs waiting for a part?
Set the repair status to Waiting Parts. In Quikpair, the Repairs list has a Waiting Parts tab, and the Repair by Status report shows how long jobs have sat at each stage.
Can I bill a company for a computer repair with their GST number?
Yes. Quikpair customers can be marked as business customers with a business name and GST number, and invoices show tax per line on A4 or thermal paper.
