Repair ticket management software for every status, technician and part

Quikpair’s repair ticket management software tracks every repair from the moment it is booked in until the device is handed back and paid for. Each repair ticket (called a job card in India and the Gulf) carries its status, the technician assigned, the parts used, the charges and a timeline of everything that happened. Each new repair gets an auto-generated ticket number, which your team and the customer both use to find it.

Repair status tracking from In Store to Delivered

In Quikpair, a repair ticket moves through these statuses: In Store, Pending, In Progress, Waiting Parts, Ready for Pickup, Completed, Delivered, Returned Without Service and Cancelled. You change it with Status on the repair, add a note and photos, and save with Update Status. The note and photos land on the repair’s Activity Timeline.

Delivered, Returned and Cancelled are the end of the line: a job in one of those is read-only. Only Delivered repairs count as repair revenue in the dashboard and reports, so a finished job left at Completed does not show in your earnings until it is marked Delivered.

Technician assignment and the repair board

Every repair has an Assign To field for the technician; a job left without one shows as Unassigned. You can reassign the technician and change the expected completion date with Edit at any time.

The Repairs list works as a repair tracking board. Status tabs along the top cut it to All, In Store, Pending, In Progress, Waiting Parts, Ready, Completed, Delivered, Returned or Cancelled, and payment chips cut it to Due, Partial or Paid. The filter adds customer, assigned technician, date range, issues and resolved or not resolved. You can also scan the barcode sticker on a device to open its ticket.

Parts, charges and payments on each ticket

Parts adds components to a job, picked from stock or typed in when they are not in your catalogue, with quantity, cost and tax. Parts taken from stock show in that product’s history, so the shelf count follows the workshop.

The money panel keeps four numbers apart: the Estimated total you quoted, the Service total you are charging, the Parts Cost, and any discount, which together give the Total Cost. Paid Amount and the balance below it track what the customer has handed over. Pay collects in full or in part to any payment account, and Refund gives money back, capped at what the customer actually paid.

Batches, re-entry and returned devices

Make Batch groups several repairs from one customer so they print as one document and can be settled with a single payment. A device that comes back can be booked in again with re-entry, which starts the new job from the original so its history stays linked.

When a job is not going ahead, Returned Without Service closes it properly after any refund, and Cancelled covers a job that never started. Deleting a repair is checked first: Quikpair will not delete one while payments or parts are attached, so your accounts stay right.

Warranty on a repair

A repair can be marked Under Warranty with a Warranty Description and a Warranty Expiry Date, filled in with the 1 Week to 1 Year buttons or set by hand. The warranty is recorded on the ticket, so anyone opening the job later can see what was promised and until when.

Frequently asked questions

What repair statuses does Quikpair use?

A repair in Quikpair can be In Store, Pending, In Progress, Waiting Parts, Ready for Pickup, Completed, Delivered, Returned Without Service or Cancelled. Delivered, Returned and Cancelled are final, and the job becomes read-only.

How do I update a repair status in Quikpair?

Open the repair, tap Status in the action bar (or the status badge), pick the new status, add a note or photos if needed, and tap Update Status. The step-by-step guide is under Repairs in How to use Quikpair.

Why does a finished repair not show in my revenue?

Only Delivered repairs count as repair revenue in the dashboard and reports, and they count from the delivery date. Mark the job Delivered when the customer collects it, and it will appear.

Can I see which technician did which jobs?

Yes. Each repair is assigned to a technician, the repair list filters by assigned technician, and the Repair by Technician report ranks the workshop by jobs completed and value.

Can one payment cover several repairs?

Yes. Group the customer’s repairs with Make Batch, then use Pay for all items in batch on the Batch Payment Summary to settle the whole batch in one transaction.
