Online repair status tracking your customers can open themselves

Quikpair gives your customers online repair status tracking on a public Track Repair page, where they check a job with its ticket number and no account. The status they see is the one your team sets on the repair ticket in Quikpair, so fewer customers need to call the shop to ask whether a device is ready.
How online repair status tracking works
Every repair booked into Quikpair gets an auto-generated ticket number. When the device is booked in, you print the job card or barcode sticker and send the customer their ticket number. The customer opens the Track Repair page, enters it, and sees where their job is.
Nothing needs to be set up per customer. There is no login, no app to install and no account to create, which matters for a walk-in customer who may only visit the shop once.
The status comes straight from the workshop
In Quikpair, a technician moves a repair through In Store, Pending, In Progress, Waiting Parts, Ready for Pickup, Completed and Delivered, or closes it as Returned Without Service or Cancelled. Each change is saved on the repair with Update Status, and that is what the customer’s check reflects.
Because the tracking page reads the same record as the workshop, keeping statuses current is the whole job. A shop that updates the status as work happens gets accurate tracking without any extra step.
A customer repair tracking portal that cuts phone calls
The most common call a repair shop takes is “is my phone ready yet?”. With the Track Repair page the customer can answer it themselves at any hour, and the counter is free for the customers who are in the shop.
- Send the Track Repair link with the ticket number when you book the device in.
- Use the WhatsApp action on the repair to send a status message from your saved template, which includes the ticket number and status.
- Customers who want their full account, not just one repair, can be sent a statement link, which also needs no login.
Pairing tracking with WhatsApp updates
Tracking lets the customer pull the status when they want it; WhatsApp pushes it to them. In Quikpair you can send a repair update by WhatsApp or SMS from the repair, or connect your own WhatsApp Business number so repair received, status and ready-for-pickup updates go out automatically.
Together they cover both kinds of customer: the one who checks for themselves and the one who waits to be told.
Frequently asked questions
How can my customers check their repair status online?
Send them the Track Repair link and their ticket number. They enter the number on the page and see the current status of the job, with no account or login needed.
Do customers need to download an app to track a repair?
No. The Track Repair page is a public web page, so it opens in any phone browser. Customers only need the ticket number from their repair.
Where does the customer get the ticket number?
Quikpair gives each repair an auto-generated ticket number when it is booked in. After saving the job you print the job card or barcode sticker and send the customer their ticket number, for example in a WhatsApp update from the repair.
How do I keep the tracking status accurate?
Update the status on the repair as the work moves: open the repair, tap Status, pick the new status and tap Update Status. The steps are in the Update a repair status guide under Repairs in How to use Quikpair.
