Products & inventory
What you sell, what you fit, and what is on the shelf.
What it does
- Add a product or service with SKU, barcode, category, brand, image, cost and selling price, tax (inclusive or exclusive), unit, opening stock, low-stock alert level, and whether it is serialised.
- Stock — adjust up or down with a reason, view individual serial units, and see cost batches with the weighted-average cost.
- Barcode labels print singly or in bulk, using a layout you design in settings.
- History and insights — every movement for a product, what it sells for, how often, and at what margin.
- Bulk CSV import, plus supporting lists for brands and categories.
Step-by-step
- Add a product — Put something new on the shelf — or add a service you charge for.
- Find a product — Search the catalogue, or pull out what needs reordering.
- Track units by serial number — Follow individual units in and out, rather than just a quantity.
- See what stock actually cost — Each delivery is its own batch at its own cost, so profit is worked out against what you really paid.
- See how a product sells — What one product has done: how many, at what price, at what profit.
- See everything that moved a product — Every purchase, sale, repair and adjustment that changed the stock figure.
- Manage brands — The makes you stock and repair.
- Manage categories — How the catalogue is grouped.
- Edit a product — Change prices, details or stock settings.
- Delete a product — Remove something you no longer stock.
- Adjust stock — Correct a count, write off breakages, or book in something found.
- Import products from CSV — Bring an existing catalogue in at once.
- Print barcode labels — Label stock so it scans at the counter.
Questions about products & inventory
How does serial-number tracking work?
Mark a product as serialised. Serial numbers are captured when stock is received and chosen when it is sold or returned, so every unit is traceable.
Can I import my existing stock?
Yes — products import in bulk from a CSV file, and a sample file is provided.
What is a cost batch?
Each receipt of stock keeps its own cost, so the product view can show a weighted-average cost rather than just the last price paid.
