How to manage serial numbers in Quikpair

Follow individual units in and out, rather than just a quantity.

Steps

1. Switch on Track by serial numbers on the product.
2. Open the product and go to Serial Inventory.

   

3. Serial numbers arrive when you receive a purchase, but Add serial numbers puts them in by hand for stock you already had.
4. Each unit shows its status: In Stock, Sold or Returned.
5. Rename serial corrects a typo; Remove serial takes a unit off the list.

Good to know

• A serialised product asks which units are going out when you sell it, so the customer is tied to a specific device.
• This is what makes a warranty claim answerable months later — you can say which unit you sold and when.
