How to update a repair status in Quikpair
Move a job through the workshop and tell the customer.
Steps
- Open the repair and tap Status in the action bar — or tap the status badge at the top of the job.

- 1 Pending
- Pick the new one: In Store, Pending, In Progress, Waiting Parts, Ready for Pickup, Completed, Delivered, Returned Without Service or Cancelled.
- Add a note, and photos if there is something to show — both land on the repair timeline.
- On a closing status, mark whether the job was resolved.
- Adjust the service cost or the discount here if the work turned out different.
- Save — the button reads Update Status.

Good to know
- Completed and Delivered ask for a date and time, and let you mark whether the job was resolved.
- Delivered does more: the same box carries Service Cost and Discount with a running total, so you can price the job as you close it, and Update & Pay saves the status and opens payment collection in one step. See Deliver a repair and take the money.
- Only Delivered repairs count as repair revenue in the dashboard and reports. A job left at Completed has been finished in the workshop but will not show up in your earnings — mark it Delivered when the customer takes it.
- Some status changes are blocked while payments or parts are attached. Quikpair lists them in the box and lets you remove them there, then the change goes through.
- The customer’s number at the top of the repair is a tap-to-call link — Call customer dials them straight from the job card.
- Status changes need the repair edit permission, so it can be limited to technicians and managers.
- Delivered, Returned and Cancelled are the end of the line — a job in one of those is read-only, and Parts, Edit and Make Batch disappear.
- F2 opens the status change on a desktop keyboard.
- Tell the customer with WhatsApp afterwards, or let them check the status themselves on the public Track Repair page.
