How to refund a repair in Quikpair

Give money back when a job is cancelled or the customer is unhappy.

Steps

1. Open the repair and tap Refund.

2. Enter the amount, or use the shortcuts: Full and Half on any device, and Quarter as well on a desktop.
3. Choose the refund method and the account the money comes out of.
4. Add a reference and a note explaining the refund.
5. Record it.

Good to know

• The amount is capped at Max Refund — what the customer has actually paid, less anything already refunded.
• A refund for less than that is recorded as a Partial Refund, and you can refund again later up to the cap.
• Refund To Account decides which payment account the money leaves, and Transaction Reference is where the cheque or transfer number goes.
• The refund shows on the repair’s payment history, so the trail stays complete.
• Refund the job in full and Quikpair asks whether to set the status to Returned Without Service. Say yes and it opens the status change for you — see Return a device without repairing it.
