How to create a repair job card in Quikpair

Take a device in and raise its job card.

Steps

  1. Open Repairs and tap New.

    • 1 New Repair
  2. Tap Select Customer. Search by name, phone or email, or use Nearby to find one close to the shop.

    • 1 Select customer
  3. Not on file yet? Switch to the new-customer tab in the same box, fill in the name and phone, and save — you stay on the repair.
  4. Fill in the three fields Quikpair insists on, each marked with a red asterisk: Brand, Item and Issues. Brand and Item accept a name that is not in your lists yet — type it and Quikpair tells you it will be added as new.

    • 1 Brand
    • 2 Item
    • 3 Issues
  5. Add the serial number or IMEI so the device can be told apart from an identical one — tap Scan QR/Barcode to read it off the device instead of typing it.
  6. Record the reported issues, what is included with the device, what is missing, and any risks you want the customer to acknowledge.
  7. Capture the device lock — PIN, password or pattern — so the technician can get in.
  8. Take photos of the device as it arrived.
  9. Assign the job to a technician under Assign To — leave it and the repair shows as Unassigned.
  10. Set the estimated and service cost, and any warranty with its description and expiry date.
  11. Set the expected completion date, and the date the customer plans to collect.
  12. Add any internal notes about the device.
  13. Add another device with the + tab if the customer brought more than one.
  14. Save. Print the job card or barcode sticker, and send the customer their ticket number.
