How to scan products into a sale in Quikpair

Ring up a basket with the camera instead of searching for each item.

Steps

1. Start a sale and tap Scan Barcode.

   

   • 1 Scan Barcode

2. Point the camera at the product barcode. The match drops into the cart on its own.

   

   • 1 Close scanner

3. Keep scanning — the sheet stays open, so a basket goes in one item after another without stopping. Scanned items appear in a list you can correct without closing it.
4. Dark counter? Tap Torch to turn the phone light on — the button appears only if the camera has one, so a laptop webcam will not show it.
5. Using a hardware barcode gun instead of the camera? Put the cursor in the code box and scan — it reads as typing.
6. Scan the same product twice and the quantity goes up rather than adding a second line.
7. Tap Open cart when the basket is in, then complete the sale as usual.

Good to know

• The product needs a barcode saved against it. Add one under Products, or search the item by name instead.
• The scanner needs camera permission the first time; your browser asks once.
