How repair charges add up in Quikpair

Four numbers make the total, and they mean different things.

Steps

1. Open the repair and look at the money panel on the right — Cost Breakdown.

   

2. Estimated total is the quote you gave when the device came in. It is never charged; it is there to compare against.
3. Service total is what you are charging for the work — set it with Edit charges, or when you mark the job Delivered.
4. Parts Cost is the sum of the parts on the job, added under Parts and priced there.
5. A discount comes off, and what is left is the Total Cost.
6. Paid Amount and the balance below it track what the customer has handed over.

Good to know

• Estimated and service are deliberately separate: the estimate is what you promised, the service cost is what you are billing, and the gap between them is worth seeing.
• The panel is a desktop sidebar. On a phone the same figures are on the repair under the item details.
