How rent order charges work in Quikpair

Rent, deposit, delivery and insurance are different kinds of money, and the panel keeps them apart.

Steps

1. Open the rent order and look at the money panel.

   

   • 1 Refund
   • 2 Collect payment

2. Rent total is the hire charge for the window booked.
3. Refundable deposit is the customer’s money you are holding, not income — Deposit held shows it.
4. Charges cover delivery, insurance and anything added on return.
5. Paid, Outstanding and Refunded track what has moved.
6. Owe Customer appears when the deposit is more than what they owe — Issue Refund pays the difference back.

Good to know

• A deposit is not revenue. It sits against the booking until the item is back, then covers damage or goes back to the customer.
• Settled means nothing is outstanding in either direction.
• Adjustments History records every change to the money after the order was confirmed.
